ADMISSION POLICY

Admission to Vet Tech Nursing Academy is open to all individuals of any race, religion, sex, or national origin. For admission into this program the qualified applicant must have 4,416 hours of documented directed clinical practice under the supervision of a California license veterinarian, completed in no less than 24 months and no more than five years prior to completion date of the program in which they are enrolled.

All classes are conducted in English; students must have a working knowledge of English language. English is the only language used for educational purposes at English is the only language at Vet Tech Nursing Academy. VTNA is not authorized under federal law to enroll non- immigrant students, nor does it provide services for obtaining a visa. VTNA does not provide English as a second language (ESL)

Prospective students must have a high school diploma or high school equivalency diploma or GED to be considered for admissions. All incoming students must be at least 18 years of age. Submission of an application is not guaranteed of admission.

All applicants must provide the following:

  1. Fully completed online application form

  2. Official high school transcript or GED certificate indicating date of graduation.

  3. A personal interview usually accomplished at the VTNA facility during the tour and

    information session. During the interview, the applicant should be prepared to demonstrate that they are prepared to enter an academic program that includes clinical training at the hospital where they are currently employed at or at our facility All God Creature’s Teaching Hospital & Surgery Center. The admissions committee seeks applicants with satisfactory histories of academic process and significant work histories. Demonstration of basic oral and written communication skills during the admissions process will be required.

  4. All applicants must be at least 18 years of age up on the date of admission.
